Along the continuum from raw & natural to highly polished & processed, we all have ideas about what makes something beautiful. This piece combines elements along that spectrum, with stunning result. A favourite of mine, this piece came about through pure play and experimentation.
The lowdown on this piece:
- Oxidized sterling silver shank with a square cross-section
- Ore textured top set in an oxidized (patina) sterling silver dome, attached to the shank by a rivet
- Hammered rim of 18kt Green Gold (3 parts pure gold:1 part pure silver ...I made the alloy myself!)
